FITNESS ONCE. AND FOR ALL.

By simple alignment with the physiological principles that govern your body and mind.

It is rare in the modern-day for people to enjoy any ease of body and mind. A counterpoint to the nonsense that is mainstream fitness, Leftfield Training offers a strictly common-sense philosophy. Further shunning the blinkered focus on the short-term, Leftfield Training is the development, and maintenance of, your ongoing, ever-evolving fitness practice. A practice that will continue to serve your physical and psychological wellbeing throughout your life, while never dominating it. A process of realising generic, universal, inescapable truths, and then learning how to best reconcile them within your unique lifestyle. Learning the principles that govern your body and mind and applying them as you see fit within the context of your life. It is fitness as it should be.

Your first step is determined by your choice of group training - if you live close to Burnley Park - online, or private (1:1) options.

For group training, you are welcome to join us for a series of free trial sessions. For online or private book a clarity call to discuss your best next step. In either case, note that sales pressure is not something I appreciate - or respond favourably to - so I don't subject others to it either. It's also the standard fitness industry playbook in yet one more way that Leftfield is not.

Being that persuasion is conceivably the worst footing on which to begin any coaching relationship I much prefer to just let you see this Leftfield approach in action in your life, in your own time. A test drive. The principles prove themselves, that’s what principles do.

Most people find that Leftfield is quite different to their previous experiences of exercise, so this is an important first step in helping you to ascertain whether Leftfield Training is the best option for you.

The groups are small, encouraging and supportive and whatever your level of fitness we meet you where you’re at and these first sessions serve as a gentle introduction to our ideas and methods.

Complete the form below, nominating your preferred first session time, and you’ll be good to go.

I don’t pretend to offer solutions without first defining the problem. Much of the frustration and failure in this domain can be traced back to confusion on exactly this point.

Furthermore, Leftfield Training is a framework with the 'next thing' always determined by the client’s unique combination of variables, so this must be specific to you.

Complete the form below, including a brief summary of your situation and a preferred time for a 15-minute phone call. We’ll chat and you’ll get a best next step that will not require your enrolment in Leftfield Training.

The single best thing I have done for myself. Ever.

- Rebecca Brownhill, 40

Having recently turned 49 and working in an executive position, developing a sustainable work/life balance has become increasingly important to me. I’ve achieved my goals, but, most importantly, I know it’s sustainable as it has provided me with the tools to maintain a holistic approach to nutrition, physical health and mental well being. I have to say it’s one of the best investments I’ve made in myself

-T. Hast, 49.

I was particularly impressed with intertwining physical fitness, mental strength and productivity – creating a skeleton of habits and activities that supported everything else in my life. My fitness, physique, mood and productivity have all improved because of things I continue to this day.

- Russell Hunter, 37.

Leftfield Training has changed my perception of exercise! I wasn’t getting the results I wanted at the gym and was finding it hard to stay motivated. Since I have been training with Leftfield I not only have motivation for my training but motivation for life. I’ve never seen results in myself that I’m seeing today!

- Catherine Trompp

Oli’s philosophy and techniques have helped me to take responsibility for my own fitness and strength. His caring attitude permeates our training group—he has fostered a great camaraderie between us. He is positive without being irritatingly so and he pushes me to go harder without yelling like a Drill Sargeant! And I can’t say enough about how wonderful it is to train outdoors.

- Brigette Pierce, 32.

Really enjoyed the training as it is not too restrictive, whilst still getting results. Thanks for all your inspiring, supportive words along the way.

- Jaime Daniel

Being UNfit is much harder work.

Can you think of a single animal that isn't fit for purpose? We are no exception. Like any organism, you want to be fit. And you're designed to be. When you align with the physiological principles that govern your body and mind, you can't NOT be.

Leftfield Training’s holistic approach is the simple observance of this reality and frees you from the too-common fitness and dietary fate of addressing one problem while creating another.

Our definition of fitness is expanded beyond physical competence all to be all-encompassing - exercise, diet, and broader lifestyle factors - as specific to you.

You are a result.

At Leftfield we recognise that while our input to our health and fitness can be positive or negative, it is never zero.

It is more accurate, more useful, and more likely to lead to the desired outcome if you further understand that you have had, can have, no lack of results. Your body is perpetually adapting and everything you do, or don’t do - regardless of whether you value it or not - produces a result, an outcome in your body and mind.

You reflect the sum total of your dietary, exercise and broader lifestyle habits. And with all things considered - as they always are - it’s no exaggeration for people to realise that, when compared to the alternative;

Not because that's how we work, but because that's how you work.

The countless variables that make each of us unique individuals remain predicated on a series of physiological and psychological rules. By targeting the relevant area and then tuning it to the individual, Leftfield Training cannot fail to unlock your success.

You’ve been mere minutes and already you're at a Leftfield advantage - because you have an accurate grasp of the problem. Much of health and fitness is purposed towards disguising or talking around the problem meaning their proposed solutions are anything but.

Mistaken, but pervasive ideas, like 'no pain no gain' define the fitness space but the truth is your progress can be just as invisible, just as innocuous, as going the other way. It’s not that fitness is elusive, it’s that you are.
